The Level Design Process - Project Fox Devlog - 5/26/24


I'll probably start doing more regular, smaller devlogs, like this one.

Anyways, here's a sneak peak of the level design process.

First, I think of a general theme for the level, such as a forest, factory, mountains, or cave.

Then I think of gimmicks and enemies, such as conveyor belts and security cameras for the factory, or falling crystals and bottomless pits for the caves.

I then start the actual level designing, which I mostly do on paper, usually at school. After sketching out the layout, start putting it into the game.
